Balance Check Via USSD Code ( *123#)

This is the most common and easiest method to check the balance. Here is how to check the balance via USSD.

  1. First of all, open your phone dialer, dial *123#, and press the call button. 
  2. Wait for a while, and a menu will appear on your screen.
  3. Look for options like balance/service, usually at number 4.
  4. Type the number for “Balance/Services” and press send. 
  5. Choose “Check Balance.” Your current balance will appear on the screen.

Note: To check Data Balance in a Smart SIM, look for “Data Balance” or “Check Usage.” Select the number and you will get details about your promo. 

This method is free and even works with a zero balance. No internet or smartphone is required in this method.

You can also check your Smart SIM card balance via text message. Here is how to do it:

  1. Open your Messages app and create a new message.
  2. Type “BAL” and send it to 214.

The Smart SIM balance inquiry number is also available. Here is how you can check the balance by a call:

  1. Dial *888 or 1515 on your phone.
  2. Follow the voice instructions for balance inquiry.
  3. You’ll receive a text message with your balance details.

Note: Calling 1515 costs 1 Peso per inquiry, but 888 is free. 

This method is best for those users who want voice instructions. It works if you do not have a smartphone. 

Check Balance Online via Smart Dashboard

If you have internet access, you can check your balance online via the Smart SIM dashboard. Here is how to do it:

  1. First of all, visit the Smart official portal (my.smart.com.ph).
  2. Now log in to your account using your SMART number.
  3. Once logged in, you’ll see your current load balance and promo status on the homescreen of the portal. You will also get all the details about your data balance and promos.

The same method is used to check the balance using the GigaLife app. The online method is easy and most reliable if you have internet access. 

For SMART Bro and Postpaid Users

  • SMART Bro Prepaid: Text BRO BAL to 2200.
  • SMART Postpaid: Text BILL to 211, or use the GigaLife app and register your postpaid number. 

You can use any of the above methods and check your balance. All the methods are safe and provide accurate results. 

What If these Methods Don’t Work?

Sometimes, the app and codes do not work properly and fail to provide the balance and data details. If you are facing such an issue, follow the below-provided precautions:

  • Make sure your Smart SIM registration has done.
  • Restart your phone and try again. It will signal issues and other such problems.
  • Check and ensure that your SIM is inserted properly. If not, reinsert the SIM card and try again.
  • Make sure that your device has a stable internet connection. If the network is slow, try moving to a stable connection.
  • If a particular method is not working, try an alternative method to inquire about your balance and internet data. For example, if the app isn’t updating, use *123#

How to Check Promo Status and Expiry

When you activate a promo, you are concerned about its activation, whether it is activated or not. Here is how you can check the promo activation status and its expiry.

  • *Dial 123# and look for “Promo Status” or similar.
